History --
Daishi Akane was born into a life with only a dead end. Her family lived in the outskirts of Yuki no Kuni with no money, and hardly a roof over their heads for shelter. They were impoverished due to the current ruler Kazahana Doto, and her parents were rarely at home to take care of her. She lost her child innocence at a young age to take care of the house and her overwhelmed parents. Her mother and father were always working; night and day, so affection from the people she cared about was uncommon, but when Akane did get praise for something, she embraced it for as long as possible. Never got a present for her birthday, never got to shop for new clothes, never went to town to play with the other children, never had a friend; but still Akane smiled at everyone who gave her a glare, or a look of disgust. She believed that life was going to get better; it had to get better for her and her family. Sadly, in Akane’s case, it didn’t.
At the age of 5, men in black stormed her family’s hut, and kidnapped her. She was thrown onto a ship and that was the last time she was ever home. Akane had no idea were she was going, who took her, or even why she was taken; all she did know was that she wasn’t the only child abducted from their house. On the whole boat ride, the children remained under deck in the dark. Fear was building inside of Akane like a dormant volcano wanting to lash out. Time was irrelevant, food was a necessity, survival was key on that boat. Each day, fights would ensue for sleeping areas, food, and even rage. Akane remained silent in her corner, never moving, only watching. Only one person tried to take her food, and that ended with a dead 15 year old Genin with chop sticks through his neck. Fear was gone now, only rage and the need for survival were left in Akane; she was now the right type of animal her kidnappers needed.
With only a handful of children left, the ship finally made port. She hoped to see the outside world, but that was killed when the slave traders put a black bag over her head and the darkness of unconsciousness took a hold of her.
Akane woke up to blaring light burning her eye sockets. Her body was striped of all its clothes, and her nervous system didn’t respond when she begged for it to move. A man in a mask towered above her. She knew he was saying something but no of it was coherent. Pain surged through her skeletal body when the man jabbed a syringe into her arm. Never had she felt something as painful as that one experience; her whole body felt like it was ripping apart. Again, unconsciousness griped its slimly fingers on her mind, and dragged her into hell.
For 4 years, Akane went through training that no child her age should have gone through. She had to grow up again and throw away her naïve teenage years to become a weapon, a tool. Day after day, month after month, she went through her life with no hope, no dawning sun, no spring. Akane went through experiments without crying, through training without showing emotion, through the injections without the shearing ache. This was her life now, she was just an animal.
The last day of torment, Akane heard a roar in the facility she was held captive at. It echoed into her chambers, even now she can still hear it. It was frightening, she could hear the wrath of the creature who made the howl. Unhurriedly, she followed it out of her cavity for she wouldn’t be able to escape the facility that she was held captive in. As she neared the bellowing, panic filled her mind. Maybe she was going to die; maybe she was going to be rescued for the misery she now lived in. Before entering the room, screams began to come for the other side
When Akane finally came to, she was lying on the floor with a blanket covering her body. A man named Nakashima Kisho took her in. There her life became a little better. She entered the Academy as soon as she was able to walk again. At school, Akane was made fun of because she couldn’t remember much of her childhood, or her past expect her name, and snow. The falling snow is all the she remembers for the past. She had very few friends because of her weird nature, and her views that other children could not understand. She liked all of her sensei’s at the Academy even if they didn’t like her.
