Tenten sat at a spare desk that had been offered to her in one of the teacher's offices. Despite the fact that it was nearing the late afternoon, there was a steaming cup of coffee on the right hand corner of the desk. It's purpose for being there was made obvious by the exhausted look on her face. 'I know Naruto-sama is trying to be nice giving me a break from missions...but sometimes I hate this stuff,' she groaned silently, slamming her head on the table, her eyes scanning up the large pile of papers she had yet to grade.
The brown-haired kunoichi was doing her usual side-gig when there was a lull of mission...helping out at the shinobi academy. Now normally, Tenten enjoyed the job. She liked kids, and it was kind of cool to help them out with all the beginner's stuff that she had to do such a long time ago now (even if some of them were quite the little brats). However, today was not one of the days she was doing the hands-on, fun stuff. Today, she was stuck by herself in a hot and humid office, grading the most recent pop-quiz from one of the younger classes, and it was NOT pleasant.
Slowly, she sat up again, and grudgingly reached for the next sheet in the stack. Her dark eyes scanned the first question: What's one effective way to sneak up on an opponent? Tenten's eyes lowered a little to read Yatsuhari Genpaku's answer. "Don't get seen," she muttered the reply out loud. Despite herself, she had to chuckle a little. Picking up her pen, she decided to give the kid at least some credit. It was partially a correct answer, though she doubted some of the other sensei's would agree.

The door to the small room squeeked open, and Naruto's face appeared, scaning the room for occupents. His blue eyes landed on the kunoichi at the desk, and then he creeped the rest of the way into the room. Naruto slide into the chair across from Tenten, and placed a finger over his mouth as a group of men ran down the hallway looking for the blonde haired Hokage. He laughed lightly and whispered with his hand up to his mouth, "Don't tell anyone I'm here."
Naruto smiled brightly and leaned back in his wooden chair. He then took notice of Tenten's apparent bordum with the job he gave her today. "Aw, Tenten, I can't give you all the missions.... if I did you would get over worked. Then you would go crazy! " Naruto's eyes got big , and he made a jazz hand motion with his hands. "Oh, and dont forget about the other ninjas! They would never go any where, they would get depressed, but most of all.... they would get fat! Now what could I do witha phyocotic Kunoichi, and fat depressed ninjas?"
Naruto grinned, widely scratching the to of his head. There was a long silence, then Naruto looked at the paper Tenten was laboring over and he read some of the answers scribbled on the paper. He then smiled a little and mummbled to himself, "I wish I thought of that... maybe I would have passed a few of my pop quizzes..."

Tenten's brown eyes flickered up to the door when she heard it creek open. She expected to see one of the academy staff members walk in, but instead she got the surprised of seeing the one and only Naruto. She offered him a soft smile when he slid into the chair across from her, and also let out a light chuckle at his comment. "Hai, hai, I won't tell. Besides, I'm not objective to having some company for a bit," she said, with a light shrug.
She laughed, before making another quick mark on the quiz in front of him. "Well, who can argue with that logic," Tenten replied, slightly sarcastic, but the expression on her face was still friendly. Still, no matter oddly he put it, Naruto was right. Who would want to be on active missions all the time? Well...maybe Neji would, but in general, the answer was no. "Don't worry, after all these years I get how the system works. Plus, it really is nice to be able to sleep in my own bed for a few days," she continued jokingly, but with a reassuring, just to make sure he was at ease.
Tenten couldn't help but chuckle again, and she shook her head softly. "Well, despite what your class rank might of been, I'd say you turned out alright, neh Hokage-sama?" she said teasingly, a slight emphasis on his title. It really was something though...she remember back during her first chuunin exam, thinking there was no way this loud-mouth blonde kid was gonna amount to anything...and now he was the savior of Konoha, if not the whole country. A sudden thought coming to mind, she looked back at him curiously. "What are hiding from anyway? Someone badgering you for paperwork again or something?" she asked with a grin.

Naruto skiddishly looked back and forth as if one of the elders would appear out of no where. He then took in a deep breathe and replied,"I can't be me anymore, I use to see my friends all the time, and now... you're the first person I've seen from my chuunin days in the past month. Except for Sakura of course, and when they come for missions. But, I don't get to have fun anymore. Naruto rubbed his chin, "Though the paper work may have something to do with it...."
Naruto fiddled with a pencil in front of him, and began to tap his foot on the floor. Speaking of Neji... Naruto raised his eye brow in amusement, Are you still spending time 'training' with him."
Naruto laughed uncontrolably, making the last of the sentece un-understandable. He then regained his composure, folded his hands, and waited for the women's answer.

Tenten smiled sympathetically at Naruto, leaning on her desk with one elbow. While it was true that the previous "number one hyperactive ninja" had matured quite a lot over the years, and took his position seriously...but he was still Naruto, after all. She could imagine that sitting in an office alone for most of the day wasn't really his thing. "Well, we all knew that things were gonna...change," she began slowly, thinking about everything that had happened in the past two years. "But, I dunno, we're all still friends no matter what. They'll be time for fun, sooner or later," she continued with an encouraging smile. "And if all else fails, as Hokage just make a festival or something and then demand everyone to come," she added jokingly, hoping that she lightened the mood, at least just a little.
The brown-haired girl had just taken an innocent sip of her coffee, when Naruto's next question came rolling out, and she had to try her best not to spit the drink out on him, and the quiz that she had just graded. "I don't like where your mind is going, Uzumaki," she said sternly when she was done coughing, though it was a bit difficult when she was also trying to fight off a blush. "I spend time training with Lee and Gai-sensei too, so I have no idea what your point is," she quickly explained, rolling her eyes and trying to sound very calm. Psh, like her and Neji would...that she or he...gah, just stop thinking about it already!

Naruto thought about the festival he would throw. He giggled at the thought of what he would do.
Naruto then listened to Tenten's struggleing answer, he then laughed, compeletely amused at her reaction. So your saying there's nothing between you and him? Naruto sniffed, and then looked at Tenten's apparent seriousness about the matter and he let it go.
Stretching, Naruto yawned then stood from his chair. He scratched his head, and move towards the door. Well, as nice as it was Tenten... he sighed in grief, I have to head back the, 'house of all boredom'.
Naruto then calming began to open the door, and leave.

Tenten was silent for a moment as Naruto asked the question, simply marking another point on the quiz in front of her. Then, she looked up, a casual, smile on her face as she shook her head. "Nope, nothing going on besides the usual," she replied, hoping very much the disappointment she felt when saying that did not come through in her tone. It wasn't as if she didn't trust the blond-haired hokage or anything, but, well...the subject of Neji was something she hadn't figured out quite yet for herself. Just thinking about it now was giving her a headache, so she didn't push anything when he seemingly dropped it.
The kunoichi offered a sympathetic smile as she saw Naruto head towards the door. "A Hokage's work is never done, neh?" she asked, tilting her head a little to the right. "Well, if it gets really boring, don't hesitant to give me a call. If I'm feeling generous, maybe all even treat you to some ramen," she continued laughingly, his love of the noodle dish practically famous now. She said it casually, but the offer was serious enough, though a part of her did fear her wallet might be drained as an outcome. Still, it was worth spending money on friends, at least in her opinion.
"Oh, and I really would consider the festival thing. It'd be a good chance for you to invite a cute girl," Tenten called out teasingly, before he disappeared completely. In fact, she could think of a certain pale-eyed teen who would probably love to go with him...if she didn't faint first, that is.
