The sun shown in the sky. The pink hair young mother was busy gathering things from around the house as the raven hair 1 year old played with his wooden blocks in the living room. Sakura packed her bag to take Kazuki to the park. Hoisting the bag onto her shoulder and picking the content boy up, she proceeded to the door, opened it up, and walked out, locking the door behind her. "Want to go to the park today, Kazuki?" The said baby giggled in reply, while playing with his mother's hair. "Alright then." Sakura said touching the baby's nose.
She began to walk down the road to the nearest park. She had walked this way many times since she was blessed with this bundle of joy. As of late though she hasn't had much time to spend with Kazuki. From work to missions... it just takes alot of time away from being with her son.
She continued walking down the street. People hurried by some stopping to talk while other just continued on their way. Most just yelled greetings or stopped and asked how the Young mother and the last Uchiha were doing. "As good as we can be." was always her answer along with a smile.

Tenten yawned, stretching her arms as she sat up in her bed of the modest little apartment she called home. After days on end of camping out in caves or forest floors during some of her missions, it really was quite comfortable to sleep on her own mattress. She wandered over to the mirror, brushing out her bed-head and styling it into her usual double bun. "Let's see...Naruto-sama said there's still a lull in missions, so I don't have to worry about that, and there's no work at the academy today," she muttered to herself, while holding on to a pin in her mouth. "So what should I do?"
It was a rarity that a jounin-ranked shinobi like herself could really have so many days of peace and quiet...and not that she was complaining, she just didn't know what to do with herself, really. Still, since Tenten had the time, she figured she would just go out and enjoy the village. She didn't know who was around or not, but maybe she would even run into a familiar face. The kunoichi threw on her more casual outfit, a white tank top with a maroon jacket and black pants, before heading out the door.
It wasn't very late in the day yet, but the streets of Konoha were alive and kicking. Vendors were busy at their stands, shoppers were wandering in the markets, and...well, you get the point. Tenten walked somewhat slowly (though not annoyingly so), as she was just enjoying being outdoors. Her gaze focused ahead of her, and she noticed a familiar head of pink hair standing out in the crowd. "Hey, Sakura-san!" she called out cheerfully, picking up the pace a little to catch up with the medic-nin. "It's been a while, neh? Everything going well with you and the little guy?" she asked with a grin, spying Kazuki clinging close to his mother.

Sakura turned around upon hearing her name being called. A smile crossed her face as she saw none other than Tenten come running towards her. "Hey Tenten. Long time no see." She said raising her free hand in hello. "Everything is going as well as can be. It's been a while since i've been free for a whole day to spend with him." Sakura place her hand on Kazuki's head messing up his already unruly hair and smiling. "What brings you out today? Naruto didn't give you a mission?" Kazuki just smiled and began chewing on his finger, as content as can be.

Still smiling, Tenten gave Sakura a light nod of understanding. "Yeah, I know the feeling. Not to many days off in our line of work," she said with a light laugh, resting her hands in the pocket of her jacket. "Glad to hear that you're managing, though" the brown-haired kunoichi added sincerely. Truth be told, she really admired Sakura like no other. The girl was already the most accomplished medic-nin of the village, as well as a fantastic mother. Especially considering her age, it really was something.
She looked back at Sakura, and shook her head at the last question. "Nah, Mr.Hokage is giving me some time at home since I just finished a long string of missions," Tenten explained with a shrug. "I actually ran into him at the academy the other day, and he said I had to take a break so that the other shinobi wouldn't get fat or something," she said laughingly, rubbing the back of her head, trusting that Sakura, of all people, was well aware at how...uniquely his mind could work.
"Anyway, I just thought I'd walk around for a bit. Seems like it's been a long time since I just enjoyed Konoha, you know?" Tenten finished explaining, putting her hand back in the pocket. Suddenly, she shook her head again. "Nya, enough about me, what are you two up to today?" she asked curiously, looking between Sakura and Kazuki (who really couldn't be more kawaii with that little grin). "I'm not interrupting errands or anything, am I?" she quickly added on, the thought just coming to mind, but she really would hate to be a bother.

Sakura continued smiling. "Seems like someones bored." She said sticking out her tung. Sakura giggled at the mentioning of ninja becoming fat do to lack of missions. "Naruto has a way with words doesn't he?" Kazuki giggled at the mention of Naruto's name. "Naru! Naru!" He laughed. Sakura laughed at her son. "If only I could get him to say his father's name. Now that would be something?"
She turned her gaze back to female Konoichi in front of her. "We're just heading to the park if you would like to join us. I'm sure Kazu wouldn't mind. Right Kazu?" Sakura said turning the question back at her son rubbing her nose on his. "Ten! Ten!" Kazuki giggled once again playing with his mother's hair.

Tenten chuckled lightly. "Maybe I am, but next thing you know I'll been put on a two-month long mission or something and then I'll be complaining about how tired I am," she commented with a laugh, willingly poking fun at herself. The life of a shinobi definitely felt like that at times, just constantly being up or down, in or out, but she couldn't deny that deep down she always loved it to. Serving a purpose for her country...it's what she wanted to go ever since she was young.
She giggled again at Kazuki's enthusiasm for his 'Uncle' of sorts. The brown-haired girl sobered for a second when she heard Sakura mention his father, but Tenten didn't show it on her face. "Well, if he's got any of your brain, I'm sure he'll learn it sooner opposed to later," she replied, flashing another grin. Honestly, sometimes she wondered if Sakura was still in more pain than she let on about, well...Sasuke, though of course she wasn't the type of girl to let it show, either. She tried not to worry too much, knowing her friend was strong.
These thought were pushed aside, however, at the mention of the park. "Oh, I haven't been there in ages...I'm not even sure what's in bloom right now," she said thoughtfully, before looking over with a smile. "But I'd love to walk with you, as long as I have permission from both parties," she continued with a chuckle, looking at Kazuki. Her grin broadened when she heard the young boy pronounce her name (or at least close enough). "Ha, what did I say? He is as smart as his mother!" she said, wagging a finger playfully in his face.

Sakura blushed slightly at Tenten's comment. "I'm not that smart, Tenten, but thank you." She turned her attention to the boy in her arms. "Kazu, repeat after me, Sa-su-ke." She said looking intently at the young one. "Da da!" Kazuki giggled. "At least you know he's your dad." Sakura replied sticking her tung out at Kazuki. The wind blew threw her pink hair. It hurt to think that thier son would never get to meet his father. She missed Sasuke, that was true, though she had decided along time ago that she wouldn't let anyone know except for maybe Naruto.
"So, Tenten. Shall we go?" Sakura said smile still present gesturing to the direction of the park. They weren't very far from the park at all. "Honestly I don't know if I even know what's in bloom right now." She chuckled now thinking of it. "I guess we'll find out when we get there."
The group proceeded to the park. Sakura sat under a shade tree when they got there and put Kazuki down to play. Kazuki began pulling grass and laughing. "Would you like your toy's Kazu?" Sakura said pulling some of the toys out that she brought with them.
"So Tenten how has Gai-sensei, Lee-san, and Neji been? Have you seen them lately?" Sakura asked turning her attention to her friend sitting beside her. "How's 'training' with Neji?" Sakura teased her friend. She reached in her bag and pulled out bag of cookies. "Would you like one?" Sakura offered.
"Sasu! Sasu!" Kazuki giggled while playing with his toys catching Sakura's attention. "That's right Kazu, Sasuke." Sakura cheered her son on. "Da da!" Sakura sweat dropped. "So much for that." She laughed.

Tenten rolled her eyes playfully. "Not that smart? Please, just exactly who is the best medic-nin in the whole village?" she said with a grin. She knew it was normal for people to think they didn't deserve such compliments, and she also knew Sakura in particular was always pretty humble. Still, the girl really should give herself more credit...from what she heard around town, the name Haruno Sakura was just about as famous as Naruto's.
"Hai, we shall," she said with a light laugh, walking in step with Sakura as they wandered towards the park. The brunette could already see the beginning of the grassy area from their spot in the street. She really couldn't remember the last time she had taken something as simple as a walk. Usually if she was outside, she either had her own errands to run, or she had to meet up with Team Gai for some sparring. If might sound silly, but she really didn't want to lose sight of the little things like this. They kept her sort of grounded during her crazy lifestyle.
As the pair (or rather trio), entered the main path, she tried to take in the flowers, but she really couldn't recognize much. "Where's Ino-chan when you need her, neh?" she asked jokingly, having no doubt that flower-shop worker would be much better at the name game when it came to plant life. Tenten giggled again watching Kazuki play around. He really couldn't get much cuter.
Tenten plopped down on the grass, crossing her legs in front of her. She glanced over at Sakura as her friend asked a question. "They're good, thanks. The latest mission I got back from was with Gai-sensei and Lee, in the village hidden in the rain. Neji's been working solo for a bit, though," she explained with a sigh. At the teasing tone that followed, Tenten held back a groan. "Why does everyone keep asking that? I assure you, the training is just training when I see him," she added, trying not to sound disappointed again. For even Naruto-sama to hint at something the other day, though...was it that obvious that she may have...feelings, for a certain pale-eyed boy?
The kunoichi took one of the offered snack, guilty for having a bit of a sweet tooth. "Arigatou," she smiled, before taking a small bite from the cookie. Tenten giggled as Kazuki spoke again. "Well, he has two syllables down really well...as soon as he adds the third he'll be all set," she commented with another laugh.
((sooooo sorry for the wait, I just got caught up in a bunch of 'real life' happenings))

The sun shone down on the trio. It was warm and felt good on Sakura's skin. She giggled at Tenten's comment about Neji and her and "training." "Oh Yes Tenten-chan, I'm sure there is nothing going on there. You know training is the best way to get to know someone." Sakura said sticking her tongue out at her. Sakura nibbled on a cookie as well as Kazuki scutted after a butterfly. Sakura smiled watching her son.
"So Tenten, what kind of missions have you been on? Escort missions, or the basic run of the mill retrieval missions? Oh! or have you been on an assassination mission? That would be fun!!" Sakura rambled in her own world while thinking of all that could happen. "Though I believe any mission would be easy for you. I mean you are the weapons master after all." Sakura said giggled.
Sakura looked at her son then the swings. "Kazuki, you want to go swing?" Kazuki's eyes sparkled as he headed back twords his awaiting mother. Come on Tenten, let's push him on the swing. Sakura said picking her son up off the ground, holding him close and rubbing her nose on his. Kazuki laughed in reply.
